I plan on bidding live tomorrow & expect a serious "gloves off" fight for several lots that I'm interested in. Best of luck to all bidders .
I'm excited too. There are several targets I'm really looking forward to bidding on. I am planning on attending a coin show on Saturday so I might be bidding on coins in an auction while buying coins at a coin show. Is that a sign that I have a problem? I hope you all are going to throw gobs of money at the nice selection of Ptolemaic bronze coins in the auction
I hope everyone has their savings emptied and goes berserk on some of the Roman imperials ;-) In any case, best of luck to everyone participating!
My wife gave me my allowance today. Don't worry guys, three dollars doesn't go very far, cheap woman. Post your results okay, that will be my highlight of the show, thanks.
For those of you that have consigned coins be prepared to see them posted here, but with my lower quality photographs!
. For those of us with NO clue what auction it is you all are talking about ... could someone PLEASE give us a little education here please.
Kashmir, I see you're a new member, so you probably missed all the hype about this auction. Attached below is a direct link to the auction so you can see all 664 lots to be auctioned. Coin Talk member Tom Callaway (Severus Alexander) has organized this auction, his 3rd one, & all members look forward to this event. I hope you can join the auction but you must register first. https://www.biddr.com/auctions/amcoinscanada/browse?a=1857
. THANK YOU. I do appreciate the invitation but ... notta chance. I have a very bad history with auctions in general. ... Think of it like a major-league drunk being invited to an open-bar party at a gentleman’s club. Amusing maybe but it ain’te pretty.
This is me at my first auction ....... ahead on 4 coins.. Who drops the beat at the end of the song/auction?? Everybody apparently!!!! I win none... (give it a second.. lol)
Today is the day. Time to put in those strong bids and see how they hold! Who here has been patiently but eagerly awaiting the day? Of course, many sincere thanks go out to our friend @Severus Alexander for making this auction possible and a reality. His hard work does not go unnoticed. I do believe this auction is the best of all three to date.
Dear CT members, today is the last day of what you might call a beautiful fraternity of collectors. But that time is over. We are now enemies. To all those who are going to raise the prices on my favorite lots, I hate you. To those who will win the coins I am aiming for, I will never read your threads again. Friendship will not exist after AMCC 3. But don't be worried: I will sulk for about 6 months, and then maybe things will return to normal. Happy auction everyone!
