My family and I visited the Philly mint in the fall of 2017. They were making cents and quarters the day we went. I wish I could've taken pictures of the production line. It was pretty cool.

As many directions as these coins are tossed about, it's a wonder that any coins make it out of the mint without gouges throughout. o_O

I’ve been to the Philadelphia mint a few times. I’ve seen production lines of cents and I went once and not a sole was to be found working to produce coins for me. It’s a neat place to spend half a day.

I can't believe I watched the whole 44+ min video - it was mesmerizing (hypnotic?) though, wasn't it?

Hey all you newbies, have you ever seen so many "error" coins in one video? :jawdrop:

Am I the only one who noticed the minimal use of masking tape they use? :p:joyful::inpain:

    So great...one I haven't seen...and so oddly posted by a non-coin related channel lol.

And for anyone who wants to know why that is so? it's because the Mint is a Federal building. No pictures or videos allowed in the facility

I noticed something familiar in that video. BADD5E5D-D019-4A60-8E7E-747761CD7B4A.jpeg from video. 0C0FE51C-F12C-43EF-8238-F2318369E7F2.jpeg from our maintenance shop.

I walked by the place on vacation. Thought it was neat but didn't take a tour. The collecting bug bit me as an adult the following year.
