Ooh, those are really excellent portraits. SICILY, Syracuse. Hiketas II. (287-278 BC). Æ Litra. (22mm, 7.48g). O: Head of Zeus Hellanios left. R: Eagle standing left on thunderbolt, star in field.
Closest I can come here is a Hiketas II AE23, 7.58g somewhat impaired by having been struck on an earlier coin of the Artemis / thunderbolt type. There are some, myself included, who like this sort of thing. I do wish the undertype and centering did not impair the legends quite so much. More, I wish my coin had better surfaces but we have to take these things as they come.
Mine is kind of lousy, and I'm not sure of the attribution: Syracuse Æ 17 Hiketas (c. 288-279 B.C.) Laureate head of Zeus Hellanios left / [ΣΥΡ]ΑΚ[ΟΣΙΩΝ] ?, eagle with spread wings standing left on thunderbolt. SNG ANS 821; ANS coll. ID: 1944.100.57075 (4.94 grams / 17 mm ) eBay Oct. 2020 Attribution Notes: American Numismatic Society MANTIS database example 1944.100.57075 looks like this specimen. Reverse clearly shows a partial legend, but description does not note this; I guessed based on other coins of this ruler. http://numismatics.org/collection/1944.100.57075
