Well, it was quite a day - spent about 4 hours total looking over coins at tables. It was pretty busy, so if any dealer was busy, I noted their table number and went back later. All things considered, I think I did pretty well... Here's my take: The Peru 2 Reales is a variety, which you may notice the dot between the crown and the globes. I was pretty excited to find a dealer who sold reales - I thought I would strike out. I was particularly excited to find a dealer in reales who (I don't think) had a Gilboy book... He had a few, I picked the ones that stood out to my eye. I got some US stuff, too - I'll post those up next. Anyway, just sharing.
this is about it... I did some buying and some trading. I chatted with some dealers. Everything seemed to think it was a pretty good turn out. I was pleased
Looks like you made a good haul there Rick. I wanted to go but had to work and didn't have someone to replace me. I like going to the Lenexa show. Topeka's show is next month isn't it. Have been there yet but would like to go.
Woohoo! A fellow kansan! You know the topeka show is pretty small, but you can still find good deals - it's probably half the size of the Lenexa show - which is still going on today, but I don't think I'll make the drive twice. If you're going to go to the topeka show, it is next month. Let me know - I'd love to meet some fellow coin talkers
I wonder - are there any coin shows in Arizona? I've never heard of any, but then again, I haven't been looking....
