This was a comical moment. Finally dug up the lawn a little and found these. The thing appears to be an iron hoe or garden tool or something. Why not have an un-true view to go with my new zincoln? I was chuckling writing it out, lol. The small things I guess.
Congrats on your initiation. Mount that hoe and everytime you look at it you can enjoy it for years to come.
We only went in the areas with ant colonies anyway. Our neighborhood is built upon an old dumping ground so might as well. my parents were the ones doing the digging, they loved it. My dad is the type to pretend he’s entirely uninterested in things then is the first to want to do them. Same here.
I told my younger brother I finally got a hoe She’s a little too… rough… for me. Not exactly a good first date. Took her home and she had tetanus
We lived in Iowa way back when the kids were younger. One Christmas we gave the oldest boy a metal detector. There was several inches of snow and the ground was frozen. He took the detector outside and came back in a short time with an 1840 Large Cent. Pretty beat up. He found it in a flower bed close to the house. Not completely unexpected. When I was a kids we lived about 10 blocks from there. My little brother and I found an 1886 Liberty Nickel about 2 feet down in our yard. Keep looking Evan.
Congratulations on your finds! You’re now a little richer and the yard is a bit cleaner. Looks like an old hoe to me.
