Special proof. A specially prepared planchet that has a Prooflike surface, but is not actually a proof strike—it is what we’d call an enhanced business strike nowadays.

I will say 67 CAM, just because it is tough to get either 68 or DCAM on these coins.

I think a lot of the marks in front of the face are on the slab and then reflected by the coin surface. The devices have enough of that frosty look but the fields are not contrasting enough for me to go with CAM.

About half are on the slab. The others are delamination from really awful die states. One can see the poor quality strike, and the planchet delamination on both the obverse, and reverse. I like it, as it makes the coin interesting. The dies were completely done in for the end of the SMS series.

No surprises on this one. It was an upgrade on my previous 66. As @Lehigh96 pointed out, 68 Cams of this year are hard to find.

Since I have all the Kennedys and major error coins, except for the 2014 Gold, it is upgrade time. The Gold comes on the next significant drop in Gold prices, which may come this Summer/Fall.
