A giggle from one of my pet "cashiers"...

    One of the girls that works at the local coffee shop, saves any "odd" coins that come through for me.. This was in her change drawer today.. hehe I know what it is (not a coin) but I'll let you guys guess (btw i paid her a dollar for the nifty gold coin lol) I'll add it's just a hair bigger then i dime...

    Is it a carbide insert?

    close it is carbide :D I suppose it could be called an insert... it is a 6 sided carbide cutting blade for a milling/cnc machine. we used very similar at TCA when i worked there :D

    Insert is correct. They mount on the end of a tool bar that mounts on the machine. Before they made these they would weld the carbide to the bar.
