I have four morgans I need to get graded ASAP on the cheap though.
Deal is I only have used NGC and pcgs for grading and all my morgans have gone to NGC so far.
I have slim profit amrgin of $25 per morgan so I need to use a third tier grading service even though I dont want to

So which one would grade AU and up morgans?
    Also which is cheapest?
I dont want to do this but I need to free up my money
The morgans should get au-50 to ms-62.

    Any info is appreciated

Not an expert by any means, but from what I have heard third tier grading slabs are sold for about raw prices.

I wouldnt bother... if you arent going with PCGS, NGC or ANACs its not worth the money spent.

Why do they need to be graded if they are all AU ?

See if ANACS still has a $12 special.

yeah, check the completed listings at ebay, it may not be worth your while to get 'em graded.

I have never used anything other than PCGS or NGC...and from what I have seen ANACS has gone down hill over the last few years. DGS is a newer grading service that people were talking about as being pretty good a while back but I haven't heard much about them lately. I have never used them or dealt with them...but they might be worth taking a look at.

Maybe you can go to ANACS. I've come across alot of their work and I see them as very comparable. And they do have specials from time to time. :kewl:

I just read the post above mine. :D I've heard the comment that ANACS had gone downhill since the old days but my feeling is they must be up to par again because there sure are alot of ANACS graded coins on ebay. Also, my understanding is ANACS is the oldest and is at the minimum right under PCGS and NGC. If I ever get anything graded I wouldn't hesitate to use ANACS. just my 2 cnts.

Many coin shops will send stuff off to the top grading services for very little cost. My coin shop charges me about $6 a coin, or $12 if I want the expidited service.

If you dont use NGC or PCGS, there is really no point in getting them graded.

I agree with the consensus. They could actually bring less in a third world grading company's plastic.

I am going tomorrow to see if my coin shop will offer me that same service.

As for the coins, I have a buyer but he wants it slabbed since theyre semi-key dates. I dont see why since theyre all AU but hey i need to move the coins so I signed up with anacs and am checking them out.
Also what do you guys think of SGS?
I have heard horror stories about them, but I also hear they overgrade, having alot of mixed feelings about them, especially if they damaged one of the coins and they only authenticated it but didnt grade it, then I would lose my investment etc...

    SGS = bad idea.

Maybe look at ICG I think it is.

I think your shop is ripping you off. I use one of the Big Name dealers for submissions and they charge zip.

While living in So Cal years ago, I used another dealer that was only about 40 miles from PCGS. He started charging "shipping" for each coin when I knew that he frequently drove to PCGS for other purposes. That seemed unfair and bothered me..

Do you guys know if DGS has gone down hill? I remember several months ago people were saying good things about them.

If you're wanting to sell them anyways, I know Teletrade was running a deal where they would get your raw coins certified by PCGS before listing in their auction. Not sure of the details of their offer or whether it is still available though, but might be worth looking into if you're sure grading is needed in your case.

I think the ANACS special is good through January. They have a big ad on the cover of Coin World.

Having the coins graded by anybody besides NGC or PCGS - and yes that includes ANACS and ICG - will result in the coins selling for less than they will if they are left raw.
