Holy crap! How did you find that strap searching?
I've only searched ones, twos, and fives but never found anything more than some web notes and star notes.

You stole my first two words. :)

I tried to buy some straps at a bank and they told me to take a hike.

I searched about $150,000 in singles and maybe $20,000 in 2's and 5's. I was hoping to find a silver cert or red seal. But nada. I finally gave up. Didn't want all the tellers thinking I either had a gambling addiction or a strip club addiction lol.

Umm, would that be a strap club addiction?

I feel really lucky on the $100, I couldn’t believe it either. I usually just find the star notes also but have found some old circulated bills from time to time.

I am friendly with multiple tellers, at multiple locations, at 3 banks. I can usually order about whatever I want within reason. Maybe two straps of a few denominations at once. The key is making orders in advance (through email) and not just showing up for it.

I never had to search large amounts. I became friends with the tellers. I would talk and tell, explain to them what I was looking for. It was their job to check and look at their currency and pick odd/old/or defective bills out as for their job. When I go to get or deposit, then they would tell me if they had something for me. Some of the finds for me. $100.00 1929 Gold Certificate, many "Star Notes" of all donations, and many "UNC". Some $500.00 notes, many "Web Press Notes". Many old currencies. I also get many old and new coins from them too. Have ordered many times half dollars boxes, but not lately. I have found many 40% and 90% silver coins.
