Found this in my bin of pre-1850 unsorted world coppers. 7.0 g, ~28 mm Ob: AUCTORI: CONNEC: Rev: INDE ET LIB 1787 Could this be a Connecticut Pre-Federal token, such as this "draped bust facing left"? Any help with the ID and authenticity would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
I say it's hard to ID in this condition . It'd DEF. a CT. Copper ( 1 cent). You have to be able to account for all the dots, cinquefoils and stops . Good Luck. Connecticut Coppers - 1787 part 1 (nd.edu)
It is not the same as the one Michael K posted, both dies are different. I've never done much with the CT coppers. With over 350 varieties it is just more of a challenge than I want to take on.
Looks to be a 46-BB, which is a little better variety. I think it is currently listed as an R-5, which is approximately 31-75 known.
