@Collecting Nut.......Wonderful looking bottle!! Incredibly fragile long neck on this one!!.....You've not posted dimensions so I'm assuming it's small and probably for perfume?
About 6 1/2” tall. The top is a tiny bit wider than a Morgan or Peace Silver Dollar and the base is about the same but it bulges out a bit more.
It's amazing that this bottle has lasted so long! One question though: how do you know it's Roman? It's obviously old, but how does one know it's Roman vs say medieval? Is it possible to know in which century it was made?
It is certified as such. It was found in a tomb dating back 2000 years ago. It also a typical bottle from the Roman time period from the color and style.
Well, I'll trust you on this, lol. I'm old, but not quite that old. But, I love ancient things. Thanks for posting.
