Looks like a worn die issue to me, but then I have little luck seeing DD in many cases. I hope you can get a definitive answer from some of our experts. Good luck.
Thanks for the reply.I have been looking at all the different die issues trying to get something similar. But don’t see any like it. The die deteriorations online don’t look like it. guess I do not have enough experience. This doubled Die stuff makes my head hurt.
You are correct as it is not MD. What it is is DDD, minted from a worn die and another form of NAV Doubling.
You should contact John A. Wexler and get his opinion. I read his articles in Coin World and seen things similar to this (what red arrows point to) called Doubled Die. His email is jwex@comcast.net
