Went by my bank today. Asked my teller about the coin shortage, she told me that the last 3 orders she made, they delivered NOTHING! Nada, zip, zero coins. She said they are almost out of everything. Guess I know what to do with my excess now! LOL. My dump bank sold me $30 in nickels and $70 in quarters the other day. Both searches were disappointing.

I was at one of my local Wawa convenience stores. They had a whole tray about 100 dollars or so of BWR of half dollars on the counter. It was so busy I didn't have a chance to ask if they were giving them out as change or they were delivered as a mistake. I know the walmart down the road was out of quarters.

I finally went through 5 rolls of nickels that I got the Friday before the 4th of July. Only 2 keepers out of the whole batch. A '40 Philly and a '52 S.

The MM on the reverse of the '52 looks filled-in. Might be a RPM. Wexler shows over a dozen varieties and Brian's variety coins has over 20 + listed. Might check out any compatible markers for that later. Until then, in the flips they go.

I was able to get a box of nickels the other day. Plenty of 2018-19 coins, but nothing newer. The highlights are a 1920 barely legible date, 1927, 1943-S that looks like it was cleaned at some point, nice 1949-S and a trashy 2011-S. The 2011 was so dirty I couldn't even make out the date, just saw the 'S' mint mark. 004.jpg 003.jpg

I found this tragic thing in a roll. I think it's a 38 or 39 D. It looks like it's been purposely mutilated. Really a shame....
Will Nic-A-Date bring out that last digit?

Ouch. :( It might be possible to restore the last digit, but I have my doubts.

I've got a double whammy going...no complaints though!
I am now both a federal employee and a state employee...both part time, but it's taking up some of my time.
And of course we've got another serious coin shortage happening too.

So glad I've got a bunch of rolls still to search from just before this newest coin shortage :shame:

Had today off so while running errands went to 3 of my favorite large Chase branches...no new coins rolls to give, none. But I did ask about customer rolls at all 3 branches...one of them had these...1 roll of halves and 2 rolls of small dollars.

I just looked through the one half dollar roll and...a few NIFC! Not bad for one roll of halves lol. About to check the small dollars...

You did great. For me all those coins have been difficult for me. So what do you do? You made my day. I even have my teller friends looking for the butterfly quarter. @Mark68 bailed me out with the butterfly’s. Once again gifts from Cointalk members save my day. God bless all of you Cointalkers

Today's half dollar boxes were solid 2021P again, with the exception of 10 mixed rolls. One 1963P Franklin came from those rolls.
Also picked up $100 quarters which gave up 3x Tall Grass Prairie "W"s.
Also got this interesting token in a nickel roll...

I have so many now. I've traded/gave away/and sold almost 200. I still have almost 80. Hopefully I can offload them at the next Baltimore Whitman show...whenever that may be...

Wish I had found a trove with that many. I'm at about 70 of the TGP.
