Found them in a roll today crazy with some old wheat pennies the earliest wheat Penny's there ware but there off center bad some are really bad I have a 1919 looks like it is way too big the body part like the rim is way bigger. The letters are way down on the rim but the back is way off from the front all most half way bunch of them like that. But the back were it says one cent and united States of America like something just took the hole writing part out but what part of the letters you can see is way bigger than any I've ever seen even the E Pluribus Unum the letters are huge. What ever happened to it it started up buy the E Pluribus but Unum is all right but really Big I will send pictures of it done put them in flips I don't know if there error coins or what never seen nothing like it to me. Plus a real nice 23 brown was in it just a bunch of old stuff got a 20 s out of it you have to look really hard to make out the s but that is what it is crazy day in hunting for coins this is why I do what I do I love this stuff. Sorry for so long off a writing got excited a little bit but here we go.
My first ones in a roll put that down on the calendar I get excited about stuff like this were talking about a hole different kind of coins
I am you have no idea buddy made my day that is what I like about the hunt I do this hunting thing about every day I always wondered if it would pay off like it has I have found some nice pieces of all different types of coins specially the Jefferson nickel got a good hit on it today to found a 39 p and a 52 s and it looks like a s over a d that is what I am seeing got some more old nickels to a 40 52 53 49 38 all these out of one roll like it been waiting for me to pick them up some of the d are repunched mint mark to I mean they are nice plus all the coins are in good shape some ware not a hole lot just as good of Jefferson nickel you ever see for the year got a 43 p war nickel looks like it has a copper look running through the front and back nice coin in great shape all of them are the 39 p the building on the back looks like it is side ways a little bit hard to explain have to send pictures.
Bentley.....Just out of curiosity.....what part of the country are you in that you are finding so many older coins?
I'm from the mountains off Kentucky and I mean mountains buddy you got to pump sunshine in some of these hollars that might have been happen these coins got trapped in these little small county banks and they just been laying there I pretty much ask for what I want and they will dig these old coin rolls out for me I have just a store that has a drive thru in it they sell smoking tobacco out of I have got in good with them and I change my coins out there for what ever they got they don't pack a lot but we're ever there getting there bank rolls from is a hit at least every other week its Old wheat Penny's found 3 war nickels last week and a1919 buffalo nickel out of one roll crazy how they come All at once I feel like I'm getting some one collection ever other week and the other week will be really mint coins never no what you might find I got a 82 p large date copper penny doubled die obverse some were I found last night I've been all day looking for it I thought I put it up in a flip but can't find it I have hundreds of 82 coins from every varieties stack on my desk and ant went through none of them I've seen plenty never had no luck. I love the 82 it was a big thing back in the 82 but after some years has went buy people have forgotten what happened they changed over to zinc I remember it well I was a young man didn't really collect if I saw a old coin i would put it in my pocket but now I have more time my kids are grown I got time to roll hunt and I believe there is some nice 82 still left out there to get so I finally hit on one last night I pulled it straight out of the roll as soon as I saw it I was amazed buy it the way the letters were the liberty I knew it had to be it is the 005 or the 006 off of wexier site for errors and varieties and it was a hit. People been about it on here like crazy one don't know one saying it is well I will about put money on it that that is what it is but there wanting some more pictures I have pictures of it I took one from the front and back and send it out last night on here but there wanting more pictures and I have looked all over the place for it and can't find it now I thought I put it up in a flip but I guess I didn't so that only leaves one thing I have put it back in with all theme 82 it has to be but that is all right I will find it I just wish I would put it up I was going to get the final notice buy some guy that knows about doubled die coins so I will have to way. So I went to open rolls and hit the jack pot today it's been a good day for real best fun I have had in awhile. I love this hobby I'm the new guy on here but I am leaning I am into errors and varieties coins just love the hunt but don't get me wrong I like a nice mint coins to I love it all I do read alot about coins do a lot of research I'm getting better but I still make mistakes I'm not perfect some times what I see is something else but I am leaning I have found two 2 doubled die coins just in the last few days that 82 is setting on a probably a MS 60 maybe better so I'm happy.
