I posted an article on "Subjectivity in Grading" here on CT a couple months ago to test it before I sent it to a coin magazine for publication. I had also submitted an article called "These Are My Favorite Things" and Rick decided to publish it in the same edition! Since this article contained several photos, I scanned the article and am attaching it here (many of you may recognize some of these coins from various posts I've made over the past years!). The 1906 example sold for $276,000 (which includes the buyer's premium) and is a new record for an Indian cent! Btw, Mike Byers, who is a big error collector and just published a wonderful coffee table-type book on errors, was the underbidder.

Yes, it has been for quite a while. And lately, Heritage has been printing it for us (they have a big huge ad in the centerfold), so the quality has improved as well.
I have often thought that it would be nice if it was made available online. It might generate more interest in the series if it were. I reckon though,perhaps appropriately, 19th century coins will remain in 19th century media format.

And you should be :high5: But if you only knew how hard it is to get anybody to write anything period - let alone something good - you understand why editors are so excited when they get something like the stuff you write. Not taking anything away from you Charmy, far from it. You do an excellent job. But editors have to search far and wide just to find material for their publications. Honestly, it's very tough to find anybody to write something. I've been an editor of a numismatic publication - I know how hard it is. But keep up the good work, it benefits everyone :thumb:
