So how big is enough to be considered a free standing interior die break this coin is riddled with die chips but the one on the oak makes me think of Hornets nest.
Great find! Interior cuds are MUCH scarcer than the usual edge cuds. Here are a few examples from my specialty.
from my understanding it can only be considered a cud if the rim is involved. On the obverse of this coin they are commonly called die chips they are no bigger than the head of a needle, maybe close to the size of the head of a ball point pen.
