Welcome to Coin Talk. The coin you posted is not an error coin. It's just badly damaged.

Strictly PMD (Post Mint Damage). @Richard D Castille

It has been better said by other members, but the gist is: The minting process is definitive and well documented. Whereas, damage can be inflicted on coins darn nigh untold number of ways, bordering on the infinitesimal.

Study the minting process and you will learn how to distinguish damage that you find on your coins and become a better collector…imo…Spark

That coin has had a rough life since being minted. The date appears to be 1966, IMO

You should flatten those staples so they don't damage your rare coins.

Welcome to CT Richard. I'm curious to know why you think it might be an error. While it is possible to have a real mint error on a coin that has been damaged, I don't see anything on your coin that would lead me to believe there are any mint errors.
As stated above, study the minting process and you will be able to eliminate many coins in question. Good luck.
PS- thanks for posting the photos Full Image.

The only error is the person that did the damage to the coin! Welcome to CT and good luck with future posts.
