Today our tour stops in central Africa at Cameroon. The first French coins for Cameroon were issued in 1924, with the last issued in 1958 before independence in 1960. As with many of the other French colonies, there were not a lot of coins issued for Cameroon, with many years in between issues. I do not have an example of the 50 centimes coins or the 1924-25 2 francs. I do have an example of the other types. Check them out below and feel free to share your own. If you missed the earlier entries in the series, they are: Equatorial Africa, Madagascar, French Indochina, West Africa and Togo, Morocco and Tunisia. First here are the 1924-1948 coins.
These were a couple of the highlights of my set when I was working on it, 10-20 years ago. Of all the French Colonial coins I sold, I regret selling these 2 the most.
