Here are a few pieces picked up from yesterday's CNG sale. This is by far the best piece. An actual bargain compared to what other pieces are selling for these days. SPAIN, Reino de España. Guerra de la Independencia Española. Fernando VII. Prisoniero, 1808-1813. AR 5 Pesetas – Duro Diameter: 41mm Weight: 26.40 g Peninsular War issue. Gerona mint. Dated 1808. Obverse: FER / VII in two lines within arched incuse Reverse: GNA / 1808 / UN DURO in three lines within bell-shaped incuse ME 15779 Birmingham 3 Pence token. It's rough but these big chunky copper tokens are very appealing to me. 1935 Crown This one has me a little stumped. CNG had it described as ‘Brutus’ CU Halfpenny Token. It has the look of a Conder token but is not in the book. It will require further research.
Nice additions! I can offer some guidance on the last piece if you’d like, but I don’t want to spoil the fun of the hunt for you.
