A few CNG newps

    Here are a few pieces picked up from yesterday's CNG sale.

    This is by far the best piece. An actual bargain compared to what other pieces are selling for these days.

    SPAIN, Reino de España. Guerra de la Independencia Española. Fernando VII. Prisoniero, 1808-1813. AR 5 Pesetas – Duro

    Diameter: 41mm
    Weight: 26.40 g

    Peninsular War issue. Gerona mint. Dated 1808.

    Obverse: FER / VII in two lines within arched incuse
    Reverse: GNA / 1808 / UN DURO in three lines within bell-shaped incuse

    Birmingham 3 Pence token. It's rough but these big chunky copper tokens are very appealing to me.

    This one has me a little stumped. CNG had it described as ‘Brutus’ CU Halfpenny Token. It has the look of a Conder token but is not in the book. It will require further research.

    Nice pickups! I like the Duro the best. You got that for a pretty good price!
