A big THANK YOU to the Moderators for taking care of all of the Bots and Spam issues we've had over the last few days!! Instead of being able to enjoy the holiday weekend with their families, they were busy taking care of issues and making Coin Talk a better and safer site for us to enjoy our hobby. Thank you, Tibor

Agreed! Doug and the crew do their best to keep on top of these situations. And, we can help by simply using the Report button to let them know whenever we find one. Do not reply to these posts! It only perpetuates their existence, and then the mods have to track down any replies that include the spam.
I wonder at what point Peter and the mods are going to have to approve new posters? The past couple of days have been ridiculous.
Lots of people think they already do. Several posts on Reddit complaining that the moderators won't let them create an account and ignore email about it. I figure if you are banned after several warnings and are too stupid to figure out how to plausibly create a new account, well, you get what you pay for.
spam bots seem to have found a backdoor in the anti spam filter which isn't good cause that makes the anti spam useless if that way in is still existing another site i'm on had the same issue spam city till i said that the anti spam program had a backdoor and then they tightened it up and now once in a blue moon we get a bot
Chris, I wounded even try to tie Dougs shoes, let along fill them. There is no doubt about the work that all the moderators do for us here. I hold them all in high regard. I was just poking a little fun. I sincerely apologize if any one was offended... Peace.

This past weekend the U.S. was hit with over 200 malware and ransom ware attacks. I wonder if the Bot/Spam attack on CT was some how related? I know very little about computers and the internet, so be kind if I am way off.
For the life of me… I cannot understand just what the heck people think they accomplish doing this stuff.
All you need is a few clicks and you will make your money. Setting up the bots and the spam isn't hard and costs almost nothing.
it's very childish like Graffiti, what kicks them to paint on walls. I guess BOTS is the new Graffiti, who knows.
