Hard to capture on my cell but PCGS got it right. 6 more and I’ll have a complete FBL set is MS-64.

The MS64FBL Franklin set has been on my short list of sets to complete for a while. I have about 50% so far. Do you have the 1953S, yet? :) If I can find one, I'll have to complete the set.

That’s one of the 6 that I need. That date is a challenge. The other 5 that I need are not to bad in price but they are tougher to find. I’ve also been working on a MS-64 or better Peace Dollar set. I gave that one a higher priority and I’m down to my last coin. I have 3 Peace sets in lower grades but I wanted a PCGS set. I just can’t find the one date I need that’s reasonable in price. :)

    A 1934-S? That’s not a Franklin. That’s a Walking Liberty. But I do have one.

Sorry...I was wondering if that was the last Peace Dollar you need to complete your MS64 (or better) set.

Lol, I need a PCGS MS-64 white 1927-S. I have all the others. I bought the key and semi keys first.

That's usually my approach, too. ;)

Your 1962 Frankie got me thinking about a purchase I made a while back. About 10-12 years ago, I bought a sealed Mint box containing eighty (80) mint sets. Mint sets are notorious for having lower quality, bag marked coins. I spent $22/set...which was a lotta money at the time. More than one person said I threw my money away.

Perhaps...the odds of having any high quality coins in this lot are pretty low. The highest quality examples of 1962/1962D quarters and halves are fairly rare. On the other hand, I figure that, by 2062, this may be the last cache of verifiably unsearched coins left and quite desirable...not that I'll be around to see. :(
