I havent found this in the archives although you may have answered this before.

I was curious the notes that are supposed to be destroyed and swapped with the stars. It was mentioned that they are red marked or makred for destruction. I was wondering what is this mark?
I found an auction on ebay but it did not have a pciture I was hoping to see what the mark looks like out of curiosity.

    Thanks in Advance

From what I can remember, it's like a magic marker, and just a mark. They are to removed the defective sheets during production. As to how the replacements are inserted, I do not know. But after they check the stacks or bricks and find a defect, they replace the defective stack/brick with a stack/brick of replacements notes. The regular bricks have regular bans around the 100 stacks of notes, with cross bands on replacements 100 to the stacks of notes. Ths bricks have 4000 notes to the brick. I hope this helps. :)-O)

There was a thread not that long ago on this subject. Most people believe it is a marker. The op in the thread claims to work at a bank. There was an uncut sheet there that he felt no one had tampered with after receiving it from the BEP. It had a red "reject" stamp on one of the notes with stars on either side of the word. Not saying it was ligit.

    Hope this helps.
