1963 Washington quarter

The best find I have ever made and it just happens to be a DDO FS-101. It is missing two markers so I think it was made BEFORE the listed Wexler coins. I have never had any coin (except for PFs) in this condition so help me out. PCGS has 3 listed as PL (if there is such a thing) but no pictures. Thoughts welcomed!!
P.S. I have never done the poll thing before so hopefully it works!

MS-63. PCGS is very nice when it comes to Washington Quarters in my opinion. Nice coin.

 

Nice coin, love this variety. Its not a expensive coin but is fun to collect, I would say PCGS would grade it as MS 60. I have several that i found or bought and have enjoyed them. Good find!

MS 64. DDO Not PL (Looks like DDO-001 but can't say for sure without looking closer since there's 27 DDOs on varietyvista).

May well go 64. As for DDO, more like TDO in some places, if unofficial on the latter (or either).

 

How do you GTG on a raw coin?

 

You need to be a good guesser. I'd add up and then average the reasonable guesses...probably would have a reasonable grade.

Just to clarify my original guess...Nice 63 DDO in MS63 or maybe 64.

 

Just like everyone you're entitled to your opinion. I don't wish to debate this but am curious as to why you think this is not a DDO.

 

John…there is notching and substantial separation on IGWT and the date. This is a DDO.

Only a couple hits keep ib back from a gem.
My guess... MS-64

 

In the images where the "doubling" shows up it looks like machine doubling to me.
