Hi, I have a 1959 d Lincoln memorial cent in flawless condition ( to the naked eye anyway.) Is it worth having it checked out and graded? I'm sure it would be a great addition to the right collection.

First of all, Welcome ! The answer is no . Please get yourself a "Red Book " and learn what's valuable and what's not . Very Helpful . It all depends on the year and Condition based on A Grading scale . OP.jpg

I would have to say "No". For less than the cost of grading, you can buy an entire roll of spotless Red Gems of that date/mm...much more suitable for grading. It's a nice coin, though. It will look nice in an album. Welcome to CT!

Welcome to Cointalk! ;) Gotta agree, no reason to have it graded at all.

Just protect it but not worth the cost to grade it. Welcome to CT.

With a high mintage and likely a large population of high-quality specimens that were saved right after the design change that year, not worth your time. Put the money into some other coins for the set!

The black spots make it not worth getting graded.
