A cloudy film on inside of holder?

    Hey fellas,
    When I opened the container there is this film or cloud…?

    Not good .? Any thoughts.

    What am I doing wrong?

    i reckon its one of those plastic ones...lQQks like the coin has been in there quite a while...those aren't real expensive @Mammothtooth, it'd not cost much if you wished another one....i bought several on Ebay for a couple $ apeice awhile back :)

    It is a closed film on both sides of the coin. I do not know what they are called.

    Yeah, these get this way over time. I haven't found anything that cleans them off (no luck with rubbing alcohol).

    Ok......Not really familiar with this type of holder but certainly looks like some kind of reaction??....Moisture maybe?...

    These holders are worthless. You should be getting rid of all of them. That is what you are doing wrong.

    Out gassing of solvent from the plastic material. Acetone should remove it if there was a reason. Dipping the coin in acetone should also remove any remaining on the coin. Hold the coin vertical so the acetone drips off and long enough so no more remains on the coin. Do not use acetone where there is a flame. Jim
