We just finished a huge submission from a woman who saw bats, animals, etc. on common coins. Most of the animals, etc. WERE ON THE COINS! One was an owl with Ostrich legs. I can confirm that everything she saw was on the coins. The bat was two deep, wing-like bag marks. Most of the rest was corrosion, stains, or dirt. I suggested she try CT. Please remember to treat everyone nicely. BTW, I see the Queen. Her head is smaller than Lincoln's.
Please tell us what the label says on the coin! Can we refer other such to ICG ? In what category? This could be a tremendous increase in submissions! Jim
Gee, thanks a lot! It's bad enough that we already get more than our share of dingbats, here, arguing with us, now we have ICG supporting their beliefs in pareidolia.
Well... technically when I first started looking at coins, I saw a lot of different moose, bears, hunter's, crowned women and pixies, yes pixies, my father suggested I go back to easel. Although, it's been years since I got to look at them with him, I gotta say after looking at my 20th 1969 Lincoln and the Queen not so sure.
And that's just on the coin no photo shop, just an x-ray. Well now that you mention it, I'm seeing a lot on coins, and yes, sober!!
We didn't slab any of the rare "hidden animal coins" from the mint. Most were spending money. Nevertheless, she had a good eye for detail.
