    I found this in a roll it is a 1916 it looks like it has some kinda finish on it there is no T in trust what so ever liberty and some more letters look doubled die there is some kinda line running down from the S in trust the S also looks funny looking to just a.messed up 1916 the back looks really good for it's age.

    The line in it looks more like an lanamation error than anything you guys figure this thing out but the last T in trust there is not one not even the making of one period and I don't have no idea what kinda off finish is on this coin

    Looks to be a Lamination Crack which affected the striking of the letter T.
    Many old Wheat Cents have that issue. Whatever substance is on the surface was added after the coin was minted maybe decades ago. Only the person that did it would know what it is.

    The Lamination Crack is a planchet error.

    The substance is not an error.
