The easiest way that I've found to tell small date from large date is that the neck of the 2 on a large date is a straight slash. If you look at the small date, the neck of the 2 is curved downward. Your 2's necks are slashes - all large date.

I've also heard of the large date 2's described as looking like a swan swimming - which has particular meaning to me. :)

What I've primarily looked at is the distance between the "2" and the rim. The small date has a larger space between the "2" and the rim compared to the small date version.

Another good way to tell is to look at the INSIDE of the loops of the 8. On the large date they are just about of equal size, on the small date the inside of the upper loop is about half the size of the inside of the lower loop.

    And there's still only 2..
All of yours are Large Dates.
Keep looking. Maybe in a thousand or more years you will find another example.

Get one of these with the 7 varieties (not including proof or the 82D small date copper) then you can compare. 20190121_095211_HDR~3.jpg

Zinc are lighter and most from 82 have a pimply look...

The easiest way u can tell the small date from large date is... The large date number 2's tail has a kinda swoop at the end .. And is really close to the rim... Also the number 8 is overly thick... The small date has a perfect number 2 without a swoop at tail end and the rim is farther away from it... Also the number 8 is thin... Also draw a line from top of #1 and top of #2 and a line from the bottom of the #1 to the #2... Lage date #8 will hang over both lines... Small date will fit perfectly in between those 2 lines... Also it has to weigh around 3.0 grams plus or minus.1... Hope this helps... I went thru same thing lol
