Does a R-5 rarity Fetch any premium?

Sometimes to often. Check auction records. Heritage sometimes lists priors by their Overton number.

    Almost always.

Early US coins of all series (pre-1836) are collected by die variety. While Flowing Hair halves start at a higher base price, R-5's are still rare varieties. They will always be in demand.

In most cases yes, but grade and condition will determine the value.

Yes, I was asking about a flowing hair half in a no problem fine grade.
