More like made in China. I dont have any coin rings but have seen them before. Im curious how they make them.
I bought a weird junk box, cheap, (actually in the metal state quarters lunch box if anyone is familiar) that included PCGS low grade bust dime, large cent and some other interesting pieces and a LOT of rubbish. The funniest ones, to me, were the PCGS "genuine" Lincoln cents, but it also included a 1963 half dollar silver ring. It's big and fits me fine but I'm not a jewelry person, it has the coin edge on one side and the other is smooth. Here are pics of the ring and the pennies (that someone paid to have slabbed this way!)
The only "coin ring" I have or ever will have is a retainer ring attached to a necklace chain that snaps together around the rim of a half dollar to hold it in place as a necklace...unsnaps to take the half dollar out. No destruction or mutilation of the half dollar/coin is required. Sorry, no photo.
I picked up this 1804 large cent ring several years ago at a flea market in Florida. I wear it quite often and it fits me perfectly. It appears to be a brass token.
