    As I understand it, in 1941 (my birth year) the Mint struck proofs from "enhanced" business strike dies.
    So for my birth year set I needed two 1941 proof half dollars.
    Apparently during the "enhancement" process the designer's initials got polished off some dies.
    So I had to buy two proof 1941 half dollars to complete my set.

    Were some of the 41 proofs the only ones without the AW initials...? Was thinking there others (year(s) but maybe not.
