Hi all, I purchased this coin last week from my LCS and have included a picture of the identification on it. As you can see it is identified as Lucius Verus but I have had trouble finding it and think it may be Antoninus Pius. What do others think??
IMO It doesn't look like Antoninus Pius...Looking in Emmett....It's #2405.... Lucius Verus Nilus reclining left, crocodile below. It's a nice coin.
I think that it could also be Antoninus Pius; the bear of Lucius Verus is usually more "pointy" e.g. https://rpc.ashmus.ox.ac.uk/coins/4/5830 for comparison see the obverses at https://rpc.ashmus.ox.ac.uk/coins/4/10614 or https://rpc.ashmus.ox.ac.uk/coins/4/813
But the obverse reads "Aurelius" in Greek. It's either Marcus or Lucius. I think it's RPC IV.4, 14626.
