What coin catches your eye first when you look at a proof or mint set? I say the half dollar, i like proof sets and that it what im working on collecting at the moment
The proof sets and halves for me too. The stars always catch my eyes, and the grey seems to be a different color, my eyes always seem to focus on it straight away, unless I've bought an old proof set and am looking for something specific, but even then its a struggle.

The halves always pop out to me. I like getting those. My favorite proof set is definitely the 1976 one. The commemorative coins are awesome
It was a toss up between the 66 and the 82. But with the exception to what I said above, I love the proof 82 set I have because of the Lincoln cent (which is bar far my favorite coin). The color is different from any I've seen and yet its not due to toning or anything. I'll tell you what, if you saw me, you'd never think that I'd love this as a hobby, shoot, even the senior members of my family tease me due to my second love (after my wife of course, haha). But anyway, 82 proof Lincoln.

Me too.. except I don't even have any proof state quarters yet haha I think I should work on the state quarters first (then territory, and then America the Beautiful)
I don't have the state quarters in proof ive got a set of P & D unc for each state. I've got a PF70UltraCameo set by NGC of the 6 2009 territory quarters, I really like those designs
