I'm new to CoinTalk, so I hope I'm doing this right.

I am looking at determining whether I have pointed/blunted 5 and large vs small bead.

Below is the reverse and obverse of the same coin.
To me, it's fairly obvious that the 5 is pointed. I believe the second picture indicates its a small bead.

Below is another coin showing the obverse and reverse.
I tend to lean toward blunt small bead.

I am completely new to Canadian coin collecting, so, not sure what I'm doing.

    Thanks!

Welcome as a New Member. Canadian coins are interesting and although some may be rare, they don't command the premiums US coins do so they are easier to collect. I've gotten many at flea markets and small coin shows. To further aid you in identification, browse around the site Coins and Canada.com. Check their price guide, in Canadian funds, and click on varieties. Happy coin collecting.

Although my interest do not include Canadian monies, I want to welcome you to CT and wish you the best of luck in your posts. Thanks for joining our party of collectors.
