I assume you had free submissions? Otherwise seems expensive to grade quarters. Pretty cool though!

Nice quarters, I like the Duke Ellington the best. Not only b/c I like jazz but b/c he did so much in the way of writing and pushing songs that were easy for everyone to enjoy not just jazzmen. :kewl:

    Sorry about that one 69
I guess your 5 70's were the lucky ones that went to the secret passage way off NGC's secret conveyor belt which selects 70's or the rejects :D LOL
    Congrats on your grades

Congrats on the grades . Question: do you know what the market value of those NGC Quarters are?

according to the Numismedia price guide they are between $40-60 apiece in PF70UC. but on ebay i see sets of these in PF70UC going for about $80 for the set.

I got my complete set of silver proof statehood quarters in mint packaging for probably less than what it would've cost for grading fees alone!

Congrats on the 70s! However, that should tell you how rare they are.

Congrats on your 70's! Either you got a very good eye or the grading standards have slackened. I hope you have a good eye. :)

    Great grades, congratulations!

Do you like the look of the NGC finger holders or was that the only option they offered for encapsulation?

thanks, I like the look of these, when i sent them in i didn't specify a holder option, i guess these are just the standard holders

Actually I think in some cases NGC grades them in the holder or as a set. Actually I have not looked lately. As it stands with them as individuals you can always sell them one at a time. Congrats on the submission. This to me is a testament to the improvement at the mint in striking(and packaging) and not a degradation in grading standards. To me you did good and it was worth the grading. Personally I find it very satisfying at times to buy raw coins and then have them graded. Worth it or not can be debated, but to me I really enjoy it and it makes it more fun. So once again - congrats.
