First, welcome to the neighborhood, Barbi! Your dime is the reason why I suggest newcomers to the hobby should always label the 2x2 or flip with information about each coin. Sometimes, people like to save some oddball coins (even though they may be just damage), and without pertinent information, the heir has no reason why it was saved. Sometimes they even go so far as not believing the people, here, who are only trying to help. It's no joke. It does happen.
My dad was a man who was going to get to it when he retired, unfortunately, being the kind of man he was - he worked harder - supporting his family and actually a couple of other families as well, so he just didn't get the chance, but he sure enjoyed looking for special looking coins.
I'm really sorry for your loss, but I brought this up so that you wouldn't make the same mistake of "putting off for tomorrow what you can do today!" Good luck!
