The reason about the 83 doubled ear some body came on here and said it was a doubled ear I didn't even post it for that it was because of the die crack on the back but this guy spot it out. Between us guys I didn't even know they had 83 doubled ear for that year lot of stuff gets all turned around and it makes me look like a fool but I got the coin there is something there totally different than any other ear I've seen but what it looked like to me was a die Chip it has a little raise in it like you would see in a filled in b or filled in R that is what it looks like so I done some research on it there is something going on right there according to just looking up the date and going down and reading mine is not that good of looking coin got a lot of air bubbles so you really got to have this coin in your hand and make it flat in front of you and and you can see a raised spot in it like a very small die Chip I will not call no body a lyer about nothing if you say what you think it is I take heat to it you guys been doing this a long time all I can do is tell you that just buy really looking at my pictures you will not see this no matter if you been doing this for a 100 hundred years I don't see nothing eather how this guy so this I will never no see you will have 10 people saying there is nothing but take 4 out of the 10 says yes you got something now what do you do I guess this is were you guys battle it out. Here we go another date been going all week I don't understand how this is getting messed up or people don't read the hole post they just put down what they think and leave it at that I posted a1960d small date people coming on there going you don't have nothing again nother person comes you ant going to ever get well just out of the blue this guy chime in and said Bentley you just found your first doubled die obverse on the date the number 9 the word liberty and the word In. So now what do you do got my heart puping finally and every spot he seen doubled die is were I thought so too so there is two coins that ever body saying know than all the sudden you get a hit that is just a few that happened this week he told me it was showed me were it was at I thought so too makes me feel like we're I've posted so many nothing hek they don't even look they just feeding of the other guy well this guy chime in there he told me it want bring a lot cause it was the grade was not that good but it is something to put in my collection it is a small date 60 at that means a lot to me I don't care if it ant worth 5 doallars i found it I saw it I posted it he spotted right were I thought how about that that tells me that I am getting better on seeing a doubled die looks like lot of the coins is I'm not percent for sure I guess it about every time before you guys start posting I done know what most are going to say before I look All most word for word like we needs some grammar now that is all that is said these guys I talk to on the daily never once say anything about my handycap not one time they can read it better than I can but you know what I do ever time I write I'm sorry who does that over a problem that they can't help I'm 46 years old know body ever learn me how to write the kind of work I've done all my life don't have nothing to do with writing sentence I cut timber for 25 years I started when I was 15 years old I was younger than that just out there running packing gas jung and oil for the chain saw then I build house on the side poor concrete laying block putting shingles down I would be 3 or 4 stories high packing a 2 buy 12 walking a 2 buy 4 one miss lick it is over but the way I was raised there is no room for mistakes take up to much time don't worry about getting hurt could not say that just taking to much time shoot nails in my hand take a pair of wire cutters cut the head off pull it out and go back to work we ant got time to stop most time didn't even get paid I put food on the table. That is how I was raised made built it didn't have nothing to do what I wanted to do my life was planned out for me as a young boy took me years to learn how to write my name and my mom would help me with that after I just pulled Day light to dark and then after we got home had to go feed the hogs in the dark heat water on a stove just to wash off there were no running water were we lived at I'm from the mountains.

That little story not mean nothing to some but I was 14 went own to be a professional timber cutter I cut trees down in between homes buildings Parks. The story is I'm not dumb I'm a very smart person I just have a learning disability I must have to say it every day it gets old hereing it every day it is like calling me dummy ever day like I said I was smart enough to say I quite look how many were glad but there was some come own there don't quite. The part that I don't get how do you know the one's really love this hobby when I was a kid I loved to collect cards still do and man I love it could not wait to open that next pack hope I get some good ones. Well this hobby is like that too but man I staring to not feel that love like I had I have to explain my self ten times a day I'm not doing this right I don't know how many times you don't write write your pictures are blurry how do you expect us to look at it were do you see anything at be more smarter about you doing that is pmd you don't nothing about the mint department know I go own ebay and there selling coins like this for thousands of dollars so how do you really know what the department can and can't do I run machine robot you would think there is know way but yeah things happen when you go through different things in a coin place anything is possible 43 copper Penny's didn't make none it was a steal Penny's but for some god reson they found some so that tells me anything is possible 82d small date copper how that was not even post to make them so we're did the die come from to make a 82dsmall date so we're did that come from and there is only one what about the 59 with the wheat stalks on the back how did that happen just saying anything thing can happen I got a coin put up I know for a fact a person hand did not do this it take machine to do this kinda off stuff I have a blank but it don't have nothing on eather side how does that happen you can have a design on your coin and it can come from the department you know stuff gets in the middle of the coin to stamp something in the coin they prove that with the stamped coins it's not a error but it is in the coin just wanted to say they can make mistakes I would love to walk in and watch every move that coin makes from the beginning to the end I would about bet there are places that some crazy things happen they have to be just look how the coin itself if you can put all of what they do put on it they for sure other things can happen you would have to be able to walk in and watch to get the full understanding of the things that could go wrong you can't read it to see were the error could come in just putting on a mint mark buy hand do you amgine how many times they have missed and hit the hole coin now you have a damage the hole coin so now what happens after missing and hitting the coin what does a coin like that would look like it would look like a coin that has got damage outside the mint I mean that is what I'm thinking what about a off center coins what else could happen if it is not turned right you have some 90 percent off center this thing so bad it want fit in a coin roll. That's another thing people want to say you need to read I've read than I read it again than I would break it down now what is the positive things could happen now what about the negative things could happen take a piece a paper right what is going on at the time and then right things down now read the next step do the same thing you might be surprised what all could happen and be honest with your self don't just make up stuff cause it makes you look good and what is the deal with the coins you find got a ring cut into it in the word liberty the date into the letters they said it is a counting machine does now just the counting machine does All that and this is a perfect coin and this ant no error it happened in the mint department but not a error the hole point I understand that my coin was like did even question it some one said I need to read no body would give it a thought that was pmd why is that the way the coin has the same kind of making on the front just like the back same kind of damage like a claw like deal in the head and hole piece of metal gone on his face and then turned it around and dang same kind of hit in the head that is own back now you don't even look I look at ever coin damage or not I give it the benefit of the doubt now now I look first off at first i notice that the coin ant a bad looking coin then I noticed the hit not just a bit but the hit is hit so hard it could not move cause the hit lose would not make that kind of hit for a coin to take that kind of hit I believe most would say yes that kind of deep hit it would have to be hung against something pretty solid or the hit hard lose the coin would move with the hit but that is kinda werid but on the back at bottom of the coin there is a nother hit something like the front now what kind of odds are we at that the front and back are both been hit the same way what is the odds own the top of your head you got to read your right think about what goes on in side to make the coin front and back and then really put some though in it what make a coin look like that in this big world and all around the bad place are mint and let me tell you get you a penny and do that to the coin make it look like that knock yourself out I'm just saying anything can happen.

The only suggestion I can give you now is.. don't believe everything you see on ebay unless it is certified!.. most of those coins are not what people say they are

I feel your pain. I’ve been through many thousands of coins hoping the slight oddity I find may be a worthy error but am shot down over and over. I’ve gotten discouraged and even angry but I can’t take it personally. Most of the people here who respond are trying to help which is admirable. I don’t buy coins by the box anymore but still check an occasional roll or ten and my pocket change. I’m not a serious collector nor did I ever intend to be one but the idea of error coins caught my interest but they don’t grow on trees. So don’t give up, just remember it’s like fly fishing, most efforts catch nothing but when you do, it’s glorious.

 

At the introduction of the Zincoln (1982 cent to present day) 98%, or more, that appear to have errors are simply anomalies' Bentley. Narrow your search to coins that interest you the most. You will have better luck searching pre 1982 cents, coins, and currency. A piece of advice Bentley, make your post shorter and to the point. It will make for better understanding, a quicker response, and more positive opinions. Good luck and be safe!

 

Bentley, in your line of business, helping others, you have probably found out that you can't force them to change, but only make suggestions and offer guidance. Well, that's what I feel we have done for you.
I've never suggested you quit or go away, but have suggested you take a break and focus on something else and then in a couple of weeks, or months, come back with fresh eyes and try again.
Your "obsession" is getting in your way and causing these problems. Quit trying to force an error until you truly know about errors.
You have mentioned going days without sleep because you are going over coins, well to me that equals a disaster and false finds, so take a break and rest up. Read about minting and errors and then come back and ask for help when you truly think you have something. Until then, I will not be reading your posts.

Man its a hole New day and I think the world of you guys I really do. It's part of my job to love and care about every body no matter what they look like how they dress how they talk I have to make a positive thing out of what most people would say it is negative and mountain man I would be crushed if I don't hear from you that is from the heart I love and can about every body on this site. I think that if awesome what you guys do ever day I don't ever want to come off like I'm angry or nothing else you guys do what I do just a different thing I get messed up a little bit when I speak to these people and there being rude talking so loud people can't even here me some people are there cause they have to be but some are there for help I just want everyone to get a taste of what I got I believe in the lord to he can take it all away if you ask and mean it from the bottom of your heart I turned my life over to God I am a man of faith that he can do what ever you ask but you have to clear your mind and it has to be true he will know God knows everything. I never collect coins in my life I just woke up one day and it was like God asking me to do this it has help me alot if God is in it anything is possible so I figured that I'm going to break down and take everything you guys give me too heart I will listen to everything you got to say do what you guys want me to I'm the rookie here you guys are the cheves I will learn everything about these coins I love this hobby but I really care about you guys more I want you to really take heat to what I'm saying I love and care about every single person on here when you are in a spot and some body takes the time to stop and help you thank them.
