Collecting since i was a kid (1970's). Actually had sort of 2 collections, one in albums of circulated coins and a higher end collection is 2x2 notebooks, VF or better. Sold the better one about 4-5 years ago and just now getting interested again. I kind of like collecting circulated coins better then high grade, more fun and more accessible. Now working on Indian Head Cents, Lincoln Cents, Mercury Dimes, Standing Liberty Quarters, Walking Liberty Half Dollars, Franklin Half Dollars, Eisenhower Dollars. I also have finished Jefferson Nickels, Roosevelt Dimes, State & Territory Quarters, Kennedy Half Dollars, Sacagawea Dollars, Presidential Dollars and Native American Dollars
Beware the Standing Lib quarters; beautiful, to be sure, but with far too many pieces with crazy price tags for my budget!
Nice approach. I prefer circulated. The only criteria I have for grade is good eye appeal. Welcome to CT.
Yes, welcome. I too collect circulated, and for about as long (1974-75?) because that's how it was ! Besides, I collect for me, not to brag about besting someone else I'll most likely see. I also agree with Quint, eye appeal is everything.
