Copper and silver kill bacteiria. In fact ALL HOSPITALS WILL HAVE COPPER stair rails and door nobs soon for that reason. As for silver, Do you know part ot the tern born with a silver spoon in your mouht. Well its a fact children fed witha silver spoon get sick less. Just a few facts I thought applied to this topic.

Paper money on the other hand is a danger if your afraid of germs. In some ways your better off not useing TP to wipe you back side. Paper money is as dirty as a un flushed tolit.

When I was in college one of the coures I took was Microbiology and one of the assignment I had was to take samples of everyday surfaces and run cultures on them. This was over 15 years ago but I can still remember that coins, tolit seat, and water fountains were found to have very little to no bacteria or viruses with coins having none. The worse one were A/C filters, and paper money.

Here's empirical evidence that coin roll searching is dangerous. I found this in a roll of dimes.

Never touch your eyes, nose or mouth or anyplace else before washing first. I do search 2500 to 7500 (Lincoln's) each week and never had any problems.
One thing though and I mentioned it before, the quality of Lincoln's has been going south for a year or so now - I see many coins that has been in fires or flooded basements or someplace before being turned in. It cuts into my profit more because I literally throw them in the trash. If they are in that condition there is nothing else you can really do - I will not pass them on to others when ruined like that. They will clog up any counting machines and I will not roll them to hide them from others, so what are you going to do?
