I'm looking at the book (Red) then the 1907 Eagle here in my hand.

    "Wire" Rim/periods/no logo/motto?

What have I got? I'm guessing this is a nice Eagle and perhaps movable for about $600?

    It's a no periods version.
Looks like some ware on eagle and headdress.
I would grade it at VF20.
$600 may be on the high side.

?? Given the coin is genuine, I'd pay $600 for it any day of the week(and I really would since I'm in the market for a no motto indian, though I want it certified). It looks closer to XF to me, but the surfaces look likey they may be polished somewhat...not sure as it could be the lighting. Anyways, if genuine and original, I'd say more like $700.

VF-35 or perhaps even XF-40. And one of my favorite United States coins.

Easily worth $600, these have gone up in value in the past few years, and not just because gold prices have exploded.

Good one to submit to either NGC or PCGS.

Thanks all. Indeed I have pondered having this being my first submission for grading but feared the "whatever" on the Rev might make it a waste of time & expense.
