1983

Just found it not the best looking coin on the front. But I was wondering were it has 3 different cracks in it does that help the value one on each side of the building. And the other is were united is going from the building through the t in united thought I would make it easy for a lot of people.

Yes. Those look like die cracks. No extra value.

 

That is one ugly coins probably the worst 83cent I have cause I have some nice ones but that is what they are there just a nice coin 83 made some pretty coins. It reminds me of the 82 there is some pretty 82 specially small date zinc and copper I have buckets of them and some are very high grade I think I'm going to quit errors and start looking for the high grade cents cause I done got some if a 67 is worth sending off I'm good. I really believe it has a lot to do with different things they didn't make no high grade or a low mintage I guess it has a lot of different things I'm in to old coins I finally got me a indian head penny 1902 not worth much but I didn't care she got me a 1943 steel penny that is so shiny you can't hardly make the letters out it came done in a case I've not moved it at all

 

What I do find on a coin it's not worth nothing cracks don't matter j don't know any errors I can find they show a list I never seen nothing like it every body in the day got all the coins out the mint departments don't really Make no errors no more the last one 1995 doubled die obverse they done got all theme out I never see know body finding nothing.

 

If you are looking for errors you will have to buy them I've went through thousands of coins and not find one error but a crack ant worth nothing I got plenty of them just on the 83 . Bad year for the cracks on the building I know I have hundreds of them put up got buckets of 82 small date copper and zinc Penny's there all put up I keep them cause they say you can't find them I have a bucket and some are really nice. I would like to find the 82d small date copper penny that is crazy one has been found you know good as well they made more than one were did the die even come from they were not to make none. How did one just pop up years later in a roll I believe I could be wrong maybe a coin jar I've went through thousands and can't get close

 

I'm not seeing any die breaks, but you do have one of the minor DDO's ($4-6 in EF-XF~ish). The '83 D "doubled ear" is rarer & pricier than the famous '84, but most don't know about it. I didn't know about it til I was 10x louping a clash, or MAD, something minor. I figured these were mechanical doubles, as they ALWAYS are,

@Bentley carpenter. Error/Variety coins with any appreciable value are extremely difficult to find. If you read all the posts on Coin Talk, how many times do you see where someone has found a valuable error or variety coin. As for the 1982 D Small date copper cent, only 2 have been found. No special dies were used to make these 2 coins. More than likely, a copper planchet from 1981 got stuck in the hopper and somehow came loose in 1982 while they were striking the copper plated zinc cents. If you really want to learn how coins are made, and how errors happen, there's plenty of videos on YouTube that will help. If you have time there's also plenty of websites that will help you learn. Have fun.

Yeah I just found out they give up looking for it so went and bought it off some one that don't even count I would throw them in a corner and start the real hunt these guys giving me directions are paying for everything they got how can you even speak on some of this stuff you didn't even find it you bought it can't find it it's out there you got to keep looking now I'm telling people how to do it don't buy it find it you will feel so much better about your self that is why some of these guys act like jerks they can't help it they paid for everything they got probably ant found a coin in the wild. I don't know how they even talk more like act like a kid on here I don't know how old some of these guys are cause I've seen children act like this I'm not buying it for now I don't know why they even respond on my post they h hate them so bad why even say anything can't help your self cause I make it easy for you make fun of mental changle people and people ride right along with them God will punsh you for how you treat god people becareful how you play this out God can take things away from you don't be making fun you could not do what I do if your life tried.

 

Does anybody else got any thing about this 83doubled ear I pretty sure I see it it looks different than most. It comes down like a knife or something wish it would have been on a better looking coin I'm glad to know about it cause I have a bunch to go through

I like you Paddy Man you just take it to another level maybe you just trying to help but some people help just hurts and makes it worse don't ever quite jugging my coins I need real talk smoe time it's hard for me to get some of this every time I post a coin I feel like here we go I'm All ready stay in a dump cause I can't catch own. I feel like I'm so far back from other people and I will never learn this you do know Everytime I post a coin I really think it's something and it is nothing like not even close. You are my main guy Paddy Man but you are the one that always brings me down and you are my favorite own here does that make any sense to you. I want people to say hay you are wrong again I felt like I was being pushed slowly off a mountain yesterday with no breaks. I don't know which photos you're looking at but the OP doesn't have a 1983 D posted on this thread. It's a P minted 1983 Lincoln Cent and IMO it's not a doubled ear. The die cracks he's talking about are on the reverse:

I just want to say that the members here have done a great job of trying to help.

 

I just want to say there is a bunch that has broke there neck trying to help and I'm grateful for everything they have done I would never put these guys down that tell me no Bentley that ant know error and I move on knowing that there is nothing to that coin now I know. I have a couple people that has come from this site I talk on a Day to day basis this guy has never said nothing about my grammar cause he knows he knows I'm not sure about errors but he trys to break it down for me send me places I can go and learn but yeah I would be a joke if I said something bad and the part your talking about has done been took care of he is a good guy some people are just what they are just like I'm the way I am I can't figure out a doubled die but you be surprised how many people been doing this for a long time wile admit that they still have issues with this and I just started they tell me I could have years in this and a doubled die will always be a issue in your life of coin collection don't let no body ride you your doing fine it's called trying you are the most dedacted person I've seen on here about coins and you have some nice coins just keep up what you are doing you will find a true doubled die it's just a matter of time buddy you may done have one just don't know it keep up the hunting cause I seen that you are a roll hunting you will find some awesome things out there that is why I do this when people take out of there day to say all of that about me that means the world to me but idhair man you are right they do help I can't think of one person that don't help or got something to say i will agree percent about all the help giving me places to look for info what you guys do ever day is a blessing to me too have a place to go to get help I ever get this doubled die down I'm on my way I see things that you guys see different what I am looking at is a different kind of doubling and it is hard for me to see the doubled die that is worth some value I don't understand why I have such a problem with this they got to be a better way for me to figure this out I will learn it I have to.
