A beautiful 1864 CWT. The reverse has “UNION FOREVER” from 9 o’clock to 3 o’clock. A shield is in the center with 13 stars on it. There are also 13 stripes on the shield. You can see what appears to be a die crack running through the left side of the shield. The date is at the base of the shield and the 4 appears to be somewhat messed up. Best I can describe it.

The obverse contains the portrait of a female with a headdress. Again, 13 stars surround the portrait. Despite being a CWT the 13 stars on both sides and the 13 stripes on the shield are an obvious reminder of the 13 original colonies.
