Solid hammer strike. Incredible luster with contrast. Unfortunate ding under her chin.

Very nicely struck, clean coin. I think it's a solid MS64PL. I do not think the mirrors are there to earn a DMPL.

65 PL. That reverse looks exceptionally crisp and clean. Nice gold tone as well.

64 PL ....frosty with nice mirrors...cheek mostly has luster grazes/breaks in the frost but I believe I see a few hits too...reverse has something under "States" that looks like a hit...and I also see what looks like a few fingerprints/haziness (which is what prevented me from going DMPL or 65)...nice overall example for a New Orleans Morgan

I somehow missed the ding on my initial inspection (still sticking with my 64 PL grade). I do wonder if it really is a ding or a reflection of something (or even a piece of the slab that chipped off and became stuck inside the holder).

It is not a ding, as it isn’t indented. It is a surface mark, but is not a gouge or any kind of scratch or bagmark. My opinion is it is a die marker artifact. Photographs, and the reflections exaggerate its actual size and significance.

Okay, no big surprises. It did get the benefit of the doubt on that obverse artifact. As I said, it was not a nick or gauge, so probably just a die polish artifact. As most people figured, it is a PL coin. In hand, it is very attractive. As per usual with PL coins, they look better in hand, no matter how good or atrocious the photographs may be.
