These came along when I wasn't really looking ~ but I had to get them! I absolutely cannot wait to get these two as the condition looks as good as it gets. The fractionals are done now, only the expensive ones are left. Good goal for next year...
Very nice 681 series pickup, sometimes when you see them and your not looking thing come your way, your doing it right staying in one series at a time .I'm not that disciplined ,mpcs/currency/coins/vignettes...etc.I wasn't looking to buy this mpc and the deal was just to good to pass up,so here I go again another MPC that i really like. Now I holding off for awhile till the New Year. Good luck finishing your series.
Thanks Connor, that is a great looking note you picked up! I can only hope mine are in similar condition!
Darryl, Those MPC images look very nice (no bent corners/folds/stains ,I think they will high grade but if you could get them to a tpg( PMG or PCGS) you'll get the proof of an honest grade! I'm very new to MPC collecting & have been buying pre-graded MPCs because I'm not that good at grading them,it cost more but if you factor in the shiping & handling & insurance & hassle of sending them in (submitting) it all comes out to about the same if your are intending to have them slabbed, maybe as time goes by I'll buy raw MPCs & get lucky on a few that I send in for grading. But from what your have posted you gotten off to a nice start ! Good Luck and have a happy holiday now that your back in the good olé USA !!! Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year ! Bob Connor
WTG Darryl... those look very nice. That is a great goal for next year as well...I hope to see it completed. Congrats. RickieB
The notes are in - any thoughts, comments, or snide remarks? Christmas is over so you can lay it on me.
Thanks Rusty! I will not forget. I have no idea, can you please tell me what you think the value of these two are. Thanks ~ Darryl
I'm no expert,if fact I'm new to MPC collecting they look definately UNC+.I've picked up some very nice MPCs from mpcusa. Are you going to get them graded ?
Hi Guys, I was just checking out Darryl,s Note,s and one of the first things you Look at in pre-grading a note before sending them to a TPG is the Margin, If the margin is off at all front or back the highest possible Grade is a 65, Regardless of anything else based on that i would say Your 25 Cent note would grade no more then a 64, i would say on that And not graded the current green sheet it would be worth between $10 and $15 dollars As far as the $1.00 note is concerned it looks alot better margin,s are Very Good based on the picture i would say between a 66-67 with out TPG between $20-$25 with a 67 grade by PCGS or PMG between $150 $175
Hope you all do not mind a general suggestion.. it is much easier to see margins with a black background... Nice notes Darryl..:smile :smile Regards, RickieB
Thanks Rickie, That really helps define the note for sure making It a better field of veiw, I really like the one dollar here if it is crisp And uncirculated you might want to consider getting it graded Here,s my 67 a very nice note!!
