    This is not shown on Variety Vista, but thought the mint mark was interesting. Could this be an RPM or is it just post mint damage or strike doubling?

    It looks like die deterioration to me.

    Either die deterioration or an rpm. I can’t tell for sure.

    Mechanical Doubling, imo

    Not an RPM

    I'm thinking die deterioration. If RPM, I would expect to see additional doubling at the back of the "D". IMO

    I don't know, with no signs of die deterioration in other places, I'd have to say RPM, but I've never seen one like that, so I'm up in the air right now. Enlarging the photos gives me pixelation so not much help. Maybe better photos and close ups of other devices would help.

    Just curious how can it be mechanical doubling Wouldn’t you see mechanical doubling in other places

    Md can be in many places or isolated.
