I have few of those. At one I had my dog tag on my key ring too. I took it off because my SSN was on it. P38 green.jpg

Yes, that has crossed my mind as well.

Nice P-38's. I can take one look at them and tell you they've never seen combat! ;):D

I've impressed multiple generations of children at Christmas by pulling mine out and slicing through clam shell packages with ease.

My wife spent 27 years in the Army and accumulated quite the collection of challenge coins. We enjoy going through them and explaining to me how she got them.

This is not one of those. I recently picked this up off of eBay from the ANS collection. Just really liked it. The only downside is it came as a lot of 5 pieces.

    John Skelton Morgan man!

For something I did as an airport security screener I won A challenge coin. And I received one when I joined the Sons of the American Revolution. And if I knew where they were I'd post them.

Excellent challenge coins and great stories. Very interesting. Thanks to all for sharing. I have a couple challenge coins. Some I got while active duty and others as a civilian helping service members do their job. Let's see what I can quickly find . . . .

4556FD4D-970C-4DF6-8D9E-AD460A2B8363.jpeg I found a challenge coin today that belongs to Ronald E. Ray. He was awarded the Medal of Honor on 6/19/1966 for his actions in Vietnam. I’m trying to figure out how to get the coin back to him and I’m open to suggestions. C7FEC565-7631-4051-8929-6746A6C5E0A3.jpeg

I just found the same challenge coin for sale some other site. I don’t know what to think about it now.

I think you will find, and correct me if I'm wrong, that Mr. Ray created the coin and distributed them.

Thank you Chris! You’re probably correct. That makes way more sense than him losing one he was awarded, like I originally thought.
