1960's D Penny Steel/Silver??? Help!!!

    I found a 1960s Silver penny. it’s clearly been dipped into some sort of metal. However it won’t stick to a regular magnet, I did try a stronger magnet and it picked it up slightly.

    Danny, no pic's, only worth 2 no 5 million dollars. With pic's much much more. I think, maybe, perhaps, oh heck, I don't know...

    FYI

    Your cent was made from an alloy of 95% copper 5% zinc and tin. The mint removed the tin in 1962 but continued to use 5%zinc in the alloy until they changed to copper plated zinc Planchet in 1982.

    ACoinJob There are still some out there to be had.

    When I was a kid ( back in the 1970's) there was this chrome paint , that when you painted pennies with it, that they would stick to magnets. They since discontinued it, and also there was gold/chrome paint too.
