Just t4ying to find a good merging app… May have found one, IMGonline. Seems to work but to get photo in my album I have to email it to myself, then put it in. 018EFE72-794B-4CE6-AA98-763470A312E3.jpeg DE1B42F1-C69E-487A-8E39-0E8575D41F45.jpeg

I use that website to combine obverse and reverse photos, and am happy with it.

    scottishmoney Buh bye

Image merging? Huh? I do all the work in a primitive but quite easy to use programme called "Image Composer" - no fancy shmancy work, just clip, cut snip and paste.

My MAC does not like it, but this one works finally 37BBE4EE-06FA-4877-9D4A-BCA3CD4A7424.jpeg BC37FC8E-0C9F-441D-A917-C1049ED81127.jpeg

I think I use the most primitive way - snipping twice and pasting in Paint. make sure the 2 snips are aligned, snip again and paste directly with Ctrl V when posting.

PhotoScape X is also good free site to use.

I am a terrible photographer - the whole process is painful to me.. yesterday afternoon I attempted a few outside in natural light and they turned out OK (by my low standards).
To reduce frustration I just use my iPhone 8 .. and I then merge right on my phone using the free App FrameMagic. So all done in a couple of seconds.
Previously I have spent hours with a digital camera playing with lighting and had no better result so this will do for me (and no I am in no way blaming the equipment for my results - this is all down to my lack of talent).

Anyway - iPhone + FrameMagic is the quickest way to get a merged photo of a coin. Just have to realize the quality limitations of the phone and especially the photographer.

There are some other good apps to spice up phone coin photos. Other than FrameMagic mentioned above you can use the free Background Eraser app to remove backgrounds (then save as a png file with transparent background) and then I use another free app (because the previous one only gives white backgrounds as an option in the free version), MagicEraser to save the pic on a background (of various color choices) as a jpg.

With those you can take your photo and make it like this:
