Look at this seller.. You might think that you may have a chance at some old vintage rolls.. Never gonna happen on Ebay.. Easy lesson.. Look at the sales.. Look at the Feedback.. THEN look at the feedback as a BUYER.. What a Joke.. Buys in Bulk and sells as rolls.. AND half rolls at that... what a scam.. and where does she get the Half wrappers? http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.d...serid=kristen7680&completed=0&sort=3&since=-1
it really shows on the rating game when 90 % or more of the ratings come from the same two identities. The rest don't sound near as happy.
I frequently watch the "Rolls" listings and have seen those listings before. I always wondered who would want rolls of 25 coins when so many other sellers are selling regular or OBW rolls? And they look ugly, anyway, lol.
Look at the sellers actual (hidden and retracted) feedback! Yikes!!! --> http://www.toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=kristen7680&Dirn=Received+by
Yeah, I fell for this listing. Still waiting on my coins, but it will be the last time I buy through this person. Looked before posting this, but after seeing the below link, I'm really ****ed now. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170382695457
I bought a couple rolls from that seller and got some nice teens and 2 semi keys in VF. If you think it's a scam then don't buy from them, ALL of Ebay is not a scam as some people on here state. If somebody is a savvy collector then they should'nt be worrying about getting scammed on Ebay. Buying rolls like those is feast or famine which I don't think even needs to be said.
This seller does buy in bulk, then places an Indian or a merc on the ends of the 25 coin rolls he wraps himself. Uses the same photo for all his auctions. Maybe more of a marketing gimmick than a scam.
I agree a ploy or gimmick yes, scam; no. Also, most peoples motivation for buying those rolls whether as is, or alleged unsearched is because they want to find that rare key date or gem, which is not going to happen. These ploys and scams would'nt exist if people were less naive.
The Auction says the person got them Wrapped from an old man... That is a SCAM and a bit more then Ploy.. Sorry, I didn't want to say that there are NEVER rolls that are unsearched.. I have NOT found any that I trust,... But I am sure they are on EBAY once in a LONG while.. A person who rolls their own and says they were purchased Vintage is lying.. It is a scam.. Like many others on Ebay w/ rolls.. ALWAYS read past feedback. "I bought these roll's from an elderly lady it belong to her husband so there no telling what you may find..." Not exactly telling telling the truth... well, OK, an outright lie.
