Check out the new error?

    Oh, excuse me I guess I should have said, check out my new error. I picked this up at the coin shop today. What do you think? Anyone have one of these? Any thoughts?

    Look like a missing clad layer obv only.:thumb:

    Get a weight on the coin. I suspect this may just be a discolored coin and not a missing clad layer.

    Agreed...the only way to tell is to weigh the coin.

    It's definitely a missing clad, it weighs in at 4.7 grams. How much you think I could get for it after I've had it for awhile of course? Should I have it graded first? :secret:

    The more red & the higher the grade = higher price.

    Thanks for posting the coin. Missing clad layer coins are one of my personal favorites. When a non-collector sees one, even they can detect that something is wrong with the coin:).

    Ok with that weight I'll agree, missing clad layer, layer missing pre-strike.

    I thought your pics. looked just fine fretboard, unless you edited the originals.
